From the 356 boxer to modern models—all handled in-house

We restore, refurbish, and repair any engine from the brand—ranging from the 356's four-cylinder boxer to current models—in our own dedicated engine facility. This is the very heart of our business, a specialized setup that even official dealerships do not possess.

We collect engines from all over Spain. There is no need to bring the entire car; if the engine has already been removed, it can be shipped on its own.

From symptoms to measurements

Rebuilding a Porsche engine requires translating symptoms and signs into precise measurements before selecting parts or committing to a specific scope of work.

  • Condition of oil and filter.
  • Compression, where applicable.
  • Leaks.
  • Noises.
  • Pressures.
  • Tolerances.
  • Out-of-roundness.
  • Cylinder heads.
  • Cylinder liners.
  • Crankshaft.
  • Timing system.

Engines covered and decisions made after measurement

The dedicated workshop area handles air-cooled boxer engines, M96 and M97 units, racing engines, transaxle families, and modern engines based on the workshop's accumulated experience.

After disassembly, cleaning, and measurement, the available options are presented. Repairing only the visible fault may be insufficient, yet replacing everything without proper assessment is not a sound technical approach.

Which engines do we work on?

  • Air-cooled flat-sixes, from the 356 to the 993.
  • M96 and M97 engines, including work on the IMS and addressing bore scoring.
  • Racing engines and custom builds.
  • Transaxle models: 924, 944, 968, and 928.
  • Classic engines from other brands also make their way into the workshop.

Our process

We don't open an engine just to replace a single part. We open it up, take precise measurements, and make decisions based on the data: clearances, ovality, cylinder head flatness, and the condition of the cylinder liners and crankshaft. The quote is generated from this information—never before.

We have our own machinery and tooling, as well as a dedicated parts-sourcing department—which accounts for half the work when dealing with forty-year-old engines.

A detailed scope-of-work quote, a component log, and a fully assembled, tuned, and tested engine, built according to approved specifications.

Related services

Depending on the car's condition and intended use, the work can be coordinated with the engine shop, bore scoring repairs, and gearbox work.

01 Can you collect an engine from outside Barcelona or Madrid?

Yes. The advertised service includes engine collection from anywhere in Spain and return delivery upon completion. The engine can be transported without the car if it has already been removed.

02 When is the quote confirmed?

The definitive scope of work is determined after disassembly and measurement, particularly when internal damage is suspected. Beforehand, we explain the working hypotheses and the steps required to verify them.
