Classic Porsche restoration and bespoke projects
The responsibility of the legacy
A completely stripped-down 911 F-Series model requires decisions on what to preserve before even considering paintwork or reassembly.
Every Porsche embodies specific values, an attitude, and a distinct approach to driving. The brand exudes timeless elegance and beauty, and we feel a personal duty to ensure these principles endure.
That is why, at Valentín Motors, we aim to restore originality in restoration projects while adding new value in customization projects.

What we assess before starting
A restoration should revive a car without erasing its history or turning every discovery into an automatic expansion of the project's scope.
- The vehicle's identity.
- Its documentation.
- The originality of its components.
- Corrosion.
- Previous repairs.
- The owner's intended use.

Four distinct goals, four projects
You might be seeking factory specifications, a refurbishment for frequent use, a backdating, or a restomod. These are distinct goals that should not be conflated during the disassembly process.
Before work begins, we determine what will be preserved, repaired, or replaced, and which modifications must be reversible. Key decisions are documented to ensure the vehicle's overall coherence.

What a restoration is not
It is worth stating what it is not before discussing timelines, because that is where expectations often go off track.
- It is not about making the car look brand new; it is about restoring it to its former state while preserving its visible history.
- It is not about replacing everything that can be replaced; parts that work and are original are preserved.
- It does not involve a fixed initial quote; the scope is reviewed once disassembly reveals what lies beneath.
- It is not reversible by default; decisions regarding what should be reversible are made beforehand, not after the fact.
Restorations
Our restorations are characterized by a high degree of originality and quality across every aspect of the project.
For comprehensive restorations, we aim to obtain the Certificate of Authenticity by returning the vehicle to its original specifications.
We analyze the possibilities and scope of the unit with the client to ensure the result is commensurate with the future value of each classic Porsche model. Each model is analyzed 100 % based on its condition, so that the final result is effective and consistent with its history.

Customizations
We undertake bespoke projects for clients with specific aspirations: bodywork modifications, performance upgrades, and custom interiors.

Idea Lab
We dedicate part of our time to research in order to identify trends and implement process improvements. We constantly stay informed, attend trade shows, and consult with other industry professionals to offer innovative solutions to our clients.

Backdating
For clients wishing to combine the aesthetics of a classic model with the technological advancements of a more recent vehicle, backdating can be an excellent option. By leveraging the similar configurations of air-cooled 911 models, we can transform the visual characteristics of a modern model to mirror the design of an earlier version. An SC with air conditioning or a 3.2 engine? It is possible.
These transformations are always carried out with the goal of ensuring the new vehicle meets homologation standards.

Decisions that are documented
With a Porsche, the exact version and the history of work performed are just as important as the model name. Recording part numbers, measurements, and components ensures that a decision made today does not become a mystery during future maintenance or for a subsequent owner.
Documentation also distinguishes the original state from later modifications. This is particularly useful for classic cars, collector's items, and modified vehicles, where a non-standard part could be the result of a deliberate upgrade, an old repair, or an ill-advised replacement.
A unified approach to interconnected work
Engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, tires, and bodywork do not operate in isolation. A vibration might originate from a mount; uneven tire wear could point to suspension geometry issues; and bodywork repairs might reveal structural work that alters the car's valuation.
When an issue affects multiple areas, we establish a specific order for inspection. This preserves the visible cause for diagnosis, avoids repeated disassembly, and determines which specialist should intervene first, preventing the project from expanding unnecessarily.
When it pays to pause and measure
Experience allows for pattern recognition, but it cannot replace actual measurement when that measurement might alter the decision. Before a costly intervention, we seek evidence to distinguish between normal wear, incorrect adjustment, and internal damage. That pause protects both the car and the budget.
If a conclusive answer cannot be reached without disassembly, we explain this limitation and break the work down into phases. The owner can authorize the diagnosis first and decide on the next step once the components are exposed.
A project that can be explained part by part
A traceable project with coordinated disciplines and a result that can be explained part by part—from the bodywork to the final tuning.

Frequently asked questions
01 Originality or ease of use?
It depends on the car's rarity, condition, history, and purpose. First, we protect what is irreplaceable; then, we decide where upgrades make sense.
02 Why define the scope before disassembly?
Because restoration often reveals hidden issues. Establishing criteria beforehand allows us to evaluate these findings without losing sight of the overall goal and budget.
